Well the time has come. Tomorrow night (Wednesday February 10) I will be pulling up all product and closing the store. If you haven't been by yet or haven't gotten everything you want this is your LAST CHANCE to grab it all up for 42L. I still don't have the stuff on xstreet and I don't know when I'll get around to it, I've been really busy with school.

I'd like to thank you all again for your continued support and business, when I started making skins 2 years ago I never expected to have so much fun, meet so many cool people, and make so many great friends.

The future is never set in stone but I want to reiterate that I expect to be back in a year or so, but I know a lot changes in SL, and quickly! I'm not leaving SL, I'll still be around, but the store will be gone. Again, thank you all so much!

[42] is closing! 42L sale for a week or so

Hello fans and friends,
I've struggled with this decision for the last month and have decided it is best for me and for the store.

I recently started back to school and I don't have time to give the store (and you guys) the attention you deserve. So I'm closing the store while I'm in school....it could be 6-9 months...could be up to a year. I can't afford to maintain rent and the subscribe o matic and the associated costs when I'm not doing regular updates.

I'll put as much as I can on xstreet at the regular prices over the next couple of weeks but with the changes to the cost of listing on xstreet coming up I don't know if I'll be able to put everything up.

So what does this mean for you? Well, I marked everything in the store to 42L for the duration of my rental at Snatch City (approximately February 10th is when it's up) So for a little over a week you have access to ALL skins, ALL clothing, everything I've made for just 42L each. Like I said I don't know if I'll be able to put everything up on xstreet so this may very well be your last chance to get some of this stuff. After February 10th it will be GONE from in-world and at this price you can probably grab up most of the store lol

Thanks so much for your support, your patronage, and your presence over the past couple of years, you will never know how much I appreciate it.

Clarification on Imandra/Draeko

hi guys, just wanted to clear this up because i got a few IMs about it. Draeko is my male alt. Roughly half the product in the store is under the name Draeko Constantine. It's still me :) So yes, when you buy products owned by Draeko, it still goes to "the cause" so to speak.

I'm so humbled and thankful for my customers today. You guys turned out and bought enough of my little doodles to pay my rent this month on both stores, as well as the subscribe o matic, and I have plenty left over for textures for the new ads and the new skins for the skin and shape expo....so this is a heartfelt THANK YOU and I have a huge lump in my throat and tears in my eyes at the outpouring of support I got today.

LAST CHANCE at bargain prices @ [42]

hello everyone,

I generally don't share real life details with SL people unless we are friends but I feel the need to explain myself.

Without going into too much detail, i'm having some serious RL issues (divorce, financial) that have made me just horribly depressed and I haven't been around SL much.

As a result I've been neglecting the store, which i hate....I love making skins and clothes and stuff, I just love the whole process. With that said....due to my RL issues I haven't had the finances or time available to upload the necessary textures for new releases, or pay my rents for that matter. I have store rents coming due and my subscribe o matic is due in a couple days and i just don't have the finances to do it.

SO. (yes i'm coming to the point lol)....I told you all a while back my prices would be going up. Series I skins are still available for 300L for a shape and 4 skins. If I end up keeping the store, this will change in the next couple of weeks. The win/win here is that if you come buy the skins, you will still get the bargain price, and I will be able to "pay the bills" as it were.

In a couple of weeks I will have a display at the Skin and Shape expo, and I'll have at least one new set of skins then, probably none before. I would appreciate in the meantime if you all could support me by maybe picking up one or two of my skin sets that you don't already have. I really don't want to lose the store when I know i can pull myself together in the next month or so....I just can't right now.

Exclusive skin for the [42] Rewards Group and pricing changes

hello gang, important news...there won't be a release this week, per se, except the Vital series that is currently only available at the UVogue skin fair, but today i sent out Vital #5, only available by joining the [42] Rewards group.

tones included are goth white, pale, neutral, tan, medium and dark. freckles option is included in pale, neutral and tan.

The rest of the Vital series is only available at UVogue's skin fair for 300L each. It ends Wednesday, August 19 at which time they will be moved to the store and subject to the new prices, which are as follows:

old skins (series I)
300L per skin, 900L for fat pack (4 skins)

galaxies skins (series I & II)
300L per skin, 900L for fat pack (4 skins)

new skins (series II)
500L per skin, 1500 for fat pack (4 skins)

future releases (series III)
750L per skin, 2250 for fat pack (4 skins)

I'm raising prices due to the rising costs of running [42] (I now have 5 branch stores) and public opinion. I hope you all understand.

I'm sending this to you guys so you can grab up what you want at the current prices while they are still a little lower.

I had so much fun with COLOR on these, hence, "vital"...they are colorful and fun and ALIVE, gorgeous imo.

Yes, I had a giant attack of LAZY and too much to do. so your pictures might be a little sloppy, sorry...i've had a busy week!

This week's skins are kind of special. I looked at all the skins I've made for hunts (POE, keys, TTLG) and I reworked them into series II skins, I hope you like them!

FRECKLES!!!!!!!!
Instead of making separate packages for Angel Kisses, I included freckles options in the pale, neutral and tan tones. So if you want the freckles just buy one of those. the packages are marked "freckles option included." This means when you buy pale, neutral, or tan you will get the regular skins AND the freckles.
Tintable lips, optional pubic hair, mod/copy/no transfer, 300L each.

In other news, I'm asking you to please bear with me for a few days. I'm moving some product around between me and Draeko, who most of you know is just my male alt. The reasons for using him don't really exist anymore so everything is going back to Imandra. If i mess anything up please let me know LOL

Also this coming week starts the UVogue skin fair and I'm sooooo excited...there will be NEW SKINS released for that, so I'll be sending out a notice on new releases on Tuesday or so, so be on the lookout for that.

New Goth Inspired Skins @ [42]!

Ok so, I went all day thinking yesterday was Friday. I know I'm a space. So anyway release day is Sunday this week ROFL....but worth the wait I assure you!

This weeks release is a batch of skins called "Inspiration." I made them specifically with the awesome and uber talented Ivey Deschanel in mind. I almost named them "Ivey" but i didn't want to go TOTALLY fangurl. yet. ;)

These come in all the series II tones, (goth white, pale, neutral, tan, medium, and dark) and have tintable lips and optional pubic hair. Something new with the series II skins, I'm selling them individually. So your choice of the makeups and tones, 300L. This is still CONSIDERABLY lower than most skin stores charge. Mod/Copy/No Transfer

This was a fairly big project and I've had a rough week LOL...obviously if i lost a whole day. Anyway, enjoy, and I'll have more goodies for you next week!

In other news, I'm going to be involved in the UVogue skin fair and I'm really excited about that. Also I had to close the Sugar Mill store because Ani discontinued shops there, which I'm sad about but can totally understand. BUT. I have another branch store in the works. I'll let you know when I get that up and running! Meantime if you must visit a branch store, I still have one at Industrial Dreamz.

I'm very fickle with my space lately and have totally reorganized the main store so I hope you can find stuff easier!

So I really love the Barely There skins and I decided to translate them to the Galaxies tones. Galaxies skins are great for those "omg it's a color event, what to wear?" moments, as well as if you just want to wear a fun, colorful skin. These represent RP well, and fairies, and aliens, and people who like to just be DIFFERENT. Anyway, "barely there" are fresh-faced new skins, meaning not a ton of makeup.

New 42L Skins!

Yup you read that right, NEW SKINS at 42L!!!!!

So I redid my basic template and changed my skins a little (improved in my opinion). I made the basic 6 tones (goth white, pale, neutral, tan, medium, dark) and I'm selling them separately for 42L each....in a style called "Barely There."

Very little makeup, fresh and pretty! and in the meantime you can test drive my new skin style. I hope you like them as much as I do. Eyebrows are no longer tintable because of LL pain in the ass, but the lips are still tintable, and you still have the option of pubic hair or shaved.

Also I'm trying something new-ish....some of you know that I enjoy SL photography and just like to take pretty pictures once in a while and show them off on flickr. Well I decided to start featuring various products from the store in these photos and package them up together and put them on sale.

This week I have the Bailey shape and impact_03 skins (all tones) boxed up with a style card for the rest of the pic for 100L.

New Releases July 4th

Happy Independence Day for those of us in the USA! And a hearty and warm hello to the rest of you ;)

ok so here is the 10 tons of tee shirts I promised you! *giggles*

I'm REALLY happy with the way these turned out. Male and Female versions of all except the cropped tees cuz well....I only made female. hrrrmph. the 530 tees are plain, unadorned, but nicely detailed.

I figured this is good advice for EVERYONE, not just hitch hikers. so here you go. "DON'T PANIC" in large friendly letters on your chest.

All of these shirts I've included in every layer possible...this makes them really easy to mix and match with your other clothes, also you can take advantage of the "tucked" look....i.e. wear the undershirt and underwear layer with pants layer jeans and they looked tucked in. Also as an example you could wear one color of the cropped tee on the jacket layer, and another color in shirt/pants or undershirt/underpants layer for a really cute mix.

Last but not least, I am sending the 530 tees in black to the [42] Rewards group exclusively. So if you cant' live without the black, you know what you need to do! hehe

A while back I did a set called "Earthen" in goth whites. I really liked these skins and decided I needed to redo them in the conventional tones, so here you go!
Slowly but surely, getting back to work with new goodies for you all!

howdy folks,
sorry for the lack of update this week. I'm dropping this note to let you all know that I'm taking a break from SL for a while...maybe 3 or 4 weeks. But while I'm on vacation I didn't want to leave you empty handed, so I marked everything of mine in the store down to 42L. Shapes, skins, clothing, all of it....42L.

While I'm on vacation I'll be working on learning some new stuff in photoshop so look for some awesome new releases when I get back!

Also, before I go, I DID drop a freebie tee shirt on the [42] Rewards group. There is a guys' and girls' version, both in long and short. I also made this in a ton of colors that I'm not releasing *quite yet* but the black is exclusively for the group and will not be sold in the store, ever. The only way to get this item is to join [42] Rewards. Take a look at the picture, it's a great tee, I've been wearing it to DEATH.

Also, I reposted the Fukumi skins and shape to the Rewards group just in case you missed them.

Soli's cute triple heart earrings are also still available in the group.

Long time no see, yep I'm back :D I know it's a day early but this stuff is ready for you and i couldn't hold back.

I made a special skin for the SCD prom, which attendees received for free. I don't want to deprive you all of anything so I'm letting you have it for 42L! It's all pink and purple and blue and GIRLY! I love this skin, it's in my top 2 right now hehe...I hope you like it as much as I do. Soli also made some earrings and hairsticks to match it, she will release them in the next few days.

I also made some really cute shorts, yes...look for me to be making more clothing! I've been wearing the hell out of these lately. Transfer only, perfect for gifts! 200L for 6 colors.

Aquarius skin and WE'VE MOVED

Hello everyone, I decided to do the unthinkable and take some time off. :O So while I don't have anything new for you this week, I DO have a very special treat!

Hydra and Heavens - new skins!

wow where did the week go? eep!
Something new and different for you guys this week...last week I offered up the Galaxies skins as freebies and apparently you guys love them! So I'm going to update them regularly. The debut is Hydra, in a nice shade of dark grey for those of you who love the drow...but don't limit yourselves, I think these are really pretty and you can wear them for any number of reasons! Shape is included, 4 makeups, tintable lips and brows, optional pubic hair, L$750.

My next new release for you is a set of skins and a shape that was inspired by the game Heavenly Sword, the character Kai in particular. So the skins have some funky masky makeups and the shape is a little younger looking than others to date, just gorgeous in my humble opionion. 4 makeups, tintable lips and brows, optional pubic hair, L$750. These skins are available in pale, neutral, and tan.

I saved back the 2426 shirt in white for you guys. I love, love, LOVE this shirt. It's great for when you are having a jeans and plain shirt day, but it's pretty enough to match with a nice pair of pants or pretty skirt too.

Of Gravity and Galaxies

I had a lot of fun with this week's releases, and I hope you love them as much as I do.
To start, the new skins are called Gravity. I used the cat eye look from last week's freebie and put some fun colors to it...these are my favorites to wear right now! Same options, same price as usual.

Hey everyone! I just wanted to let you all know that I'm giving out free photo sessions for profile pics only for the customers of [42]. Vouchers for a free photo session and profile pic are being given out through a special hunt and a lucky chair. Vouchers from the hunt are in limited quantities, so make sure you get down there and find one before they're all gone, otherwise you'll have to wait for the chair to call out your letter. I will be hiding 5 new vouchers at the beginning of every new week and you can keep track of how many are left with our handy dandy new hunt counter that's posted on the wall.

I don't offer photo services to the general public, so this is the only way to get your pictures done by me.

OMG you guys, I am a bad blogger. BAD, BAD BLOGGER!!!!! Saturday's release:

Well, we have been busy little bees at [42] this week, which means LOTS of goodies for you!

First, I present my newest line of skins, Continuum. Beautiful and funky, great for when you are feeling a bit out of the ordinary!

As always, available in 5 skin tones, packaged with a shape, optional pubic hair, and tintable lips and eyebrows, 4 makeups for L$750.

The shape is also available separately for L$200.

Next up, Faolain has made some great face piercings in a myriad of colors, 14 to be exact, hoops with a ball for the eyebrow, lip, and nose. Each package is sold with all colors for L$100.

Now I know you want to hear about the FREENESS! I originally had intended to make each freebie available for 2 weeks, and then they'd be gone forever....but i decided instead of some people missing out, I will be selling previous freebies for 42L. they will be on the wall behind the new freebies every week.

And speaking of free...Faolain has made a beautiful tattoo available this week for free!

and of course the freebie tee from last week is still available for free. The skins from 2 weeks ago and the Halloween skin and nose ring are now available for L$42.

One day after that scientists announced they might have the technology to clone extinct animals, raising the spectre of a real Jurassic Park, the Park's creator has gone the way of the last velociraptor. Michael Crichton lost his battle with cancer this week. I'm a big fan of his books, though for a science journalist they are a kind of guilty pleasure. His penchant for creating drama out of science relied on also creating some pretty fantastical scientific scenarios.Crichton always shrugged off the criticism from scientists concerned that he was misrepresenting them and their work. Here's what he had to say about his portrayal of scientists in a 1999 essay in Science:
"I sometimes think scientists really don't notice that their colleagues have flaws. But in my experience, scientists are very human people: Some are troubled, some are deceitful, petty, or vain. I know a scientist so forgetful he didn't notice he'd left his wife behind at the airport until the plane was in the air. I once was at a party with Jacques Monod when a gorgeous young woman - a PhD bacteriologist - came up to him and said, "Oh, Dr. Monod, you are the most beautiful man in the room." And he preened. But why not? He was very handsome in a sort of Camus-existential-Gauloise-smoking way."
Crichton wasn't, like many authors, afraid of or reverential towards science and scientists. I sometimes feel science journalists could learn a thing or two from Crichton's attitude. Having said that, he did get it spectacularly wrong on occasion.Crichton's climate change denial in 2004's State of Fear is a case in point. Researchers were right to kick up a fuss about his abuse of science here. State of Fear was a staggeringly unsubtle attempt to use his massive influence to call the consensus view into question. There were two crimes here: the novel was not only badly written (almost as badly as Timeline), it was also a reckless abuse of power.To my mind, he recovered a little ground with Next, a witty, barbed and (for Crichton) surprisingly quirky novel about genetic technologies. I can't help feeling a tinge of sadness that there won't be any more like that. Like I said, guilty pleasures...Michael Brooks, New Scientist consultant.

Halloween is my favorite time of year. I would be happy as hell if it was just October all year long. In SL it's particularly fun cuz i get to wear shit like this:

I have been very busy the last couple of months. I'm working on a new line of skins that we are calling "Aurora." They are not ready for public consumption yet, BUT. I have a little "teaser" for you that I'm letting you have for free:

all you have to do, is tp to [42] (click here for SLURL) and click the subscribe-o-matic, joining the update group. This will not effect the number of SL groups you have, and you will receive updates via IM when we release things, and also get freebies once in a while.

In addition, while you all are waiting on me to finish the Aurora line, I have marked everything in both stores down to 42L, as has Faolain. I will be discontinuing a large amount of my old skins after i release the new ones, so this is your last chance to grab them if you're interested. ;)
